In July 2006, at the University of York in England, Professor Andrew Tudor undertook an in depth interview with Richard Woolley to discuss his film work. Professor Tudor is now Richard's successor as Head of the new Department of Theatre, Film & Television at the University of York and is an established and respected writer on film history and theory. The interview is divided into sections that, for the most part, relate chronologically to the different periods in Woolley's filmmaking career.

Below are the first two parts of this interview. The rest will be available in full as extras on the DVD set of Woolley's films.
